Perdekop – Mont Rochelle

Part of the UNESCO-declared Cape Winelands Biosphere Reserve, Mont Rochelle offers incredibly diverse indigenous flora and breathtaking views. The route to Perdekop is a strenuous uphill climb, but a break at Uitkyk point will renew your energy for that final push to the summit.  Expect 360-degree views of the Wemmershoek Valley and feel immersed in the beautiful Fynbos and Proteas that flourish here. On a clear day, Table Mountain can be spotted in the distance. This hike is beautiful all year round although during the winter season this area comes alive with a showcase of waterfalls at full flow and if you are lucky, you might experience a snow-covered landscape.
